GymPlanner ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application (the "App").

1.2 Fitness and Health Data

You may choose to provide the following fitness-related information:

• Workout Data: Type of training, duration, exercises performed
• Body Measurements: Weight, body circumferences (chest, waist, arms, thighs, calves, shoulders)
• Nutrition Data: Calories consumed and burned, macronutrient intake
• Progress Photos: Weekly progress photos stored locally on your device
• Apple Health Data: Steps and calories burned (only if you grant permission)

1.3 Automatically Collected Information

• Device Information: Device type, operating system, unique device identifiers
• Usage Data: App features used, time spent in the app, interaction patterns

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the App's functionality
• Create and manage your account
• Track your fitness progress and achievements
• Calculate and display workout statistics and trends
• Sync your data across your devices
• Process payments through Apple Pay for premium features
• Send you technical notices and support messages
• Respond to your comments, questions, and requests
• Detect, prevent, and address technical issues

3. Data Storage and Security

3.1 Data Storage

• Firebase: Your account information, workout data, body measurements, and nutrition data are stored securely using Google Firebase
• Local Storage: Progress photos are initially stored on your device
• Apple Health: Health data accessed through Apple Health remains in Apple's Health app and is accessed only with your explicit permission

3.2 Security Measures

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information:

• Data encryption in transit and at rest
• Secure authentication through Firebase Authentication
• Regular security audits and updates
• Limited access to personal data by our team

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

4.1 Service Providers

• Firebase (Google): For data storage and authentication
• Apple: For payment processing through Apple Pay and Health data integration

4.2 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court or government agency).

4.3 Business Transfers

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

5. Your Data Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

5.1 Access and Portability

You can access and export your data at any time through the App's settings.

5.2 Correction

You can update your account information and fitness data directly in the App.

5.3 Deletion

You have the right to request deletion of your account and all associated data. To delete your account, go to Settings → Account → Delete Account in the app.

Upon account deletion, all your data will be permanently removed from our servers within 30 days.

5.4 Withdraw Consent

You can revoke access to Apple Health data at any time through your device's Health app settings.

6. Apple Health Integration

If you grant permission, GymPlanner can access the following data from Apple Health:

• Steps
• Active Energy (calories burned)

This data is:

• Used only to display your activity in the App
• Not stored on our servers
• Not shared with third parties
• Not used for marketing, advertising, or use-based data mining
• Accessible only while you maintain permission

Important: We do not use HealthKit data for marketing, advertising, or any use-based data mining purposes, in compliance with Apple's HealthKit guidelines.

You can revoke this permission at any time through: Settings → Privacy → Health → GymPlanner on your iOS device.

7. Children's Privacy

GymPlanner is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us, and we will delete such information.

8. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and maintained on servers located outside of your country of residence. By using the App, you consent to the transfer of your information to countries that may have different data protection laws than your country.

9. Third-Party Services

9.1 Firebase (Google)

9.2 Apple Services

We use Apple Pay for payments and integrate with Apple Health. Apple's privacy policy can be found at: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/

10. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. If you request deletion of your account, we will delete your data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory reasons.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by:

• Posting the new Privacy Policy in the App
• Updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy
• Sending you an in-app notification for significant changes

You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted.
